Wow! Another 'One'! This time a 5wt...

Our client Dave was not keen on the original 6.5" Sage factory grip and wanted some thing a bit different for New Zealand and some freshwater Tarpon, Saratoga & juvenile Barramundi. 

Dave wanted a small fishing butt and our Evo Spec reel seat. He also liked the HCE Spec REC guide set up. So he got it in a great looking (and performing) combo! And he got his 7" full wells grip. That's the beauty of custom!






The REC recoil stripper comes first, then a snake to provide two firm anchors for pulling against the backbone & it is a larger diameter for better line flow then finally finishing of with a series of lighter single foots to reduce swing weight and aid faster tip end recovery for great casting accuracy. This set up is used in our HCE Specs and Dave wanted the same for this One. Coupled with our unique tuning process, it really helps a rod sing!

And here is Dave's first fish on his new rod! A very respectable New Zealand brown.
